After, in 2021, Porto/Post/Doc screened, in its opening session, the cine-concert Maria do Mar (set to live music by the Orchestra Sinfonietta de Lisboa) as part of the FILMar project, and in 2022 screened two films that portrayed Estado Novo's commitment to the commemorations of the 5th Centenary of the Death of Infante D. Henrique (with contextualisation by historian Vítor Barros). Henrique (with contextualisation by historian Vítor Barros), in 2023 (in the run-up to the end of the project, which ends in April 2024), the festival will present six films about cinematic representations of Portugal's former colonial domains. Based on the book recently published by Maria do Carmo Piçarra, Vento Leste - Luso-orientalismo(s) nos Filmes da Ditadura, the festival presents a series of Portuguese cinema titles (from silent to the New Cinema generation) in new digital copies produced by the Cinemateca Portuguesa as part of the FILMar project and the RRP. In addition to the film screenings, there will also be a presentation of the aforementioned book by Carmo Piçarra, with the presence of the author, as well as a training for teachers and educators.
