A House Made of Splinters still on the rum for an Óscar nomination

The winner of the Teenage Prize of the 2002 edition of Porto/Post/Doc is still on the run for an Oscar nomination. Competing in the category of Best International Documentary, the film directed by Simon Lereng Wilmont had already won the best director award in the international competition of the Sundance festival.
The film, shot in eastern Ukraine, follows a small group of social workers and the life inside an orphanage that receives children in socially vulnerable situations.
