by Porto/Post/Doc / 25 11 2021

For the second consecutive year, Porto/Post/Doc and Canal180 have come together to implement the 180 Media Lab, a program that activates a set of artistic crossover proposals that serve as a testing laboratory for new forms of circulation and presentation of stories .

Already inaugurated and open until the 27th of November, the Artistic Circuit proposes a collective exhibition with works installed at the Galeria Ocupa, Passos Manuel, The Cave Photography, Selina Porto, Garagem 180 and Matéria Prima.

The program is complemented with two broadcast moments that intend to promote different discussions around images

Taking place on the 25th at 7 pm, the first performance is an original creation of NOINDEX collective. “The End of Images: not transmitting anything as a reaction to excess” is a teleshopping broadcast where it will be possible to acquire NFTs and images of different artistic works. The hosts for this show will be MC Damara Ingles (XR Experiences and virtual fashion designer), Amar Ediriwira (artistic director at Boiler Room) and Clayton Vomero (director and documentary filmmaker at NOINDEX). The sound design of the program will be delivered by DJ Firmeza. The NOINDEX program will be broadcast (live) through the Twitch of Canal180 and Canal180 on TV.

On November 27, and serving as the final performance of the program, the 180 Media Lab Live. A cabaret that brings together all the participants of this program (and some friends) in a fusion between filmed content and live performances. The goal is to use improvisation and experimentation to generate original ideas and a final 10-minute piece. Participating are, among others, of Loic Perela, Polido, Miguel Januário, Armando Sousa, Herlander, Mira Calix, Pedro Maia and Catarina Miranda.

The final performance of the 180 Media Lab will be broadcast (live) through Twitch on Canal180 and on Canal180 on TV at 7 PM.
