Gürcan Keltek and Jodie Mack will be present at Escola das Artes, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, as part of the festival, in a joint action between Porto/Post/Doc and the institution. The activities, free entrance, are part of the program of the festival's educational project School Trip.
Turkish director Gürcan Keltek, who won the festival in 2017, returns to Porto to conduct a workshop about directing fiction and documentary from his own work. The session takes place on November 26th, at 6:00 p.m., at Ilídio Pinho Auditorium (Escola das Artes - UCP). Keltek will also be part of the festival's International Competition jury, and within the section Identities, the latest short by the director, "Gulyabani", will be screened.
The workshop with Jodie Mack takes place on November 29th, at 3:00 p.m., also at Ilídio Pinho Auditorium, where the crossing between languages will be explored, as well as the importance of animation in the filmmaker's work. Prior to that, at 6:00 p.m. on November 27th, Jodie Mack's "The Grand Bizarre" will be screened in the same auditorium. The session will be attended by the director. At the end of the projection, the director will be talking to the audience.
The festival takes place between November 23rd and December 1st, in several venues of the city (Teatro Municipal do Porto - Rivoli, Cinema Passos Manuel and Planetário do Porto).
