A selection that reflects the diversity of languages and devices in contemporary documentary, this year's International Competition combines political views and hard-hitting social analysis with experimentation and formal rigour. From an exercise in research and sound imagination to a look back at history through architecture, archive cinema or the discovery of invisible heroes, the ten feature films are the result of specific and authorial points of view that turn the most varied aspects and snippets of reality into cinema.
