FREE EVENT SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY
In a special event, the album Louisville, about the current political, racial, social and economic situation of the United States of America, will be presented in the scope of Porto/Post/Doc; a 48 page publication, with photographs, drawings and texts, accompanying a vinyl record. This edition is based on reportage by journalist Pedro Sousa Pereira and photographer Mário Cruz (twice awarded by World Press Photo) during the last presidential elections in the United States, in 2020 – a year marked by social uprisings and police violence that ended up affirming the Black Lives Matter movement. The interviews and sounds recorded in various states of the country (from Florida to Pennsylvania) were subsequently handled by a series of Portuguese musicians: Óscar Pinho, Guilherme Lucas, Crystal Cabinet, Luís Vaz Patto, Francisco Cerqueira, LÖDO (Luís Vaz Patto, Hélder Pachorro and Luís Antero) and Thee Magnets (Carlos Moura, João Calheiros and Maurício Mau Mau). The album was produced by Amândio Barbosa and is part of the "Grémio" collection of Tradisom publishers. All profits from this limited edition will be donated to Jail Guitar Doors (Los Angeles).
