How to be a child in the Amazon rainforest? Between machetes and smartphones charged with photovoltaic panels, a community of children explore the banks of the Pastaza river in deep connection with nature and in almost total autonomy, developing a strong spirit of mutual help. The vastness of the bush is a playground but also a source of food and a territory for learning and playing. The director and we, the audience, are are invited to play, too.
The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in the section Generation.
This session also screens Mangrove School directed by Filipa César and Sónia Vaz Borges.
