Tune into the Future is a documentary that reflects on how thinking about tomorrow has become a pop culture phenomenon called Science Fiction. Its origins are certainly varied, but there is, however, one name that can be credited with shaping the way we understand science fiction today: Hugo Gernsback. Eric Schockmel draws on a series of simultaneously entertaining and informative devices to draw the portrait of this inventor, writer and editor of Luxembourg origin who, having immersed himself in the pulp literature of the early 20th century, invented science fiction as a popular genre.
