Porto/Post/Doc and Orquestra de Famílias de Matosinhos present an exclusive audiovisual performance, aimed at the whole family. In addition to the live interpretation of original themes, the show also includes a visual component created, under the guidance of Tânia Dinis, from the personal collections and family memories of the orchestra members and the artist herself, which includes images of Brazil in the 1940s. The sets of photographs and images will be manipulated in real time, constructing short narratives in a fragmented journey to the affective memory of all participants.
Founded in 2018, Orquestra de Famílias de Matosinhos is part of Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos' Educational Program. Consisting of 35 families, with a total of nearly 65 members, this orchestra – open to everybody – meets biweekly to carry out a joint creative process in which every actor counts.
