The Portuguese-speaking cinema has shown great vitality, with the production of several films with great emphasis in international festivals. In this programme, Porto/Post/Doc tries to show the best documentaries made in Portugal, Brazil and the PALOPs in order to make these works visible, often with limited commercial release. In 2015, we will see several Portuguese films, some of which in world premiere. The diversity of topics is also evident: films about photographers, revolutionaries and writers who wanted to be filmmakers. But there are also films about Porto (the memory of Porto and its neighborhoods) and films that evoke the terrible history of mankind. With these works, the Portuguese-speaking cinema wonders: in its history or in its memory, allowing a discussion about the present.
