Open Call for Porto/Post/Doc 2025 is Now Open!

The Open Call for the 12th edition of Porto/Post/Doc: Film & Media Festival is now open! The festival will take place from 20 to 29 November 2025 in the vibrant city of Porto, celebrating bold and innovative works in "cinema of the real".

Porto/Post/Doc welcomes films that challenge boundaries between documentary and fiction, offering a platform for creators to showcase their vision to an international audience.

COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS

The festival features several prestigious competitions, including:

International Competition: Feature-length films (60+ minutes).
International Medium-Length & Short Film Competition: Films of 31–60 minutes (medium-length) and up to 30 minutes (shorts).
Cinema Falado: Films in Portuguese or exploring Lusophone cultures.
Cinema Novo: Works by Portuguese film students or filmmakers abroad.
Transmission: Films exploring music, sound, and pop culture.
Youth Jury Prize: Films addressing socially relevant topics for younger audiences.

NON-COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS

In addition to the competitions, the festival offers diverse parallel programs, including: School Trip, Docs4Teens, and Immersive Dome Cinema, among others.

Early Deadline: 31 January 2025
Regular Deadline: 30 April 2025
Extended Deadline: 31 July 2025

ELIGIBILITY

Films must be completed after 1 January 2024.
Non-English films must include English subtitles.
