Bassirou Sène grew up around Dakar’s main cemetery, where he followed his father into burial work. Forced to leave school, he has worked for two decades without official recognition. Amid the graves, the film follows his daily life and observes the social invisibility of those who prepare the final resting place of others. Director Mamadou Moustapha Gueye died while the film was being edited.
