In September 2025, Jan Ijäs films along Israel’s border with Gaza, where memorials to military operations coexist with viewpoints and picnic sites. Shot on 16mm and 35mm infrared film, the landscape becomes estranged, while a voiceover reads visitor comments about views, noise and smells. The film confronts leisure, spectatorship and violence kept at a distance.
