Zahra and Zalgai grow up together in a Kabul circus, where training offers freedom and joy. Filmed over three years after the Taliban returned to power, the film follows the end of childhood: at 14, Zahra is excluded from school, while Zalgai starts working to support his family. As responsibilities are imposed upon them, the circus remains a space for imagination and resistance.
