João Aguardela was one of the most distinctive figures in contemporary Portuguese music. Over more than two decades, he brought tradition and experimentation together in projects including Sitiados, Megafone, Linha da Frente and A Naifa. Drawing on archives, personal films, concerts and testimonies from family and friends, "The Sailor’s Life" reconstructs his artistic journey through music and the people who shared it.
