"The Milk of Monarchs" is an experimental documentary built from Super 8 and digital images, family memory, and myth. A little boy hears a secret whispered through the weeds and sets out to discover its meaning. Around him, seemingly still images come to life, revealing an unrecorded story: the forbidden desire of a monarch. The film brings together trauma, memory, and metamorphosis.
