Janet Beat, a pioneering Scottish composer of electronic music, is observed through instruments, gestures, listening and the spaces where music is made. Filmed on 16mm, the film avoids conventional biography to build a tactile portrait of the artist and a wider history of electronic experimentation, asking how new technologies can generate sensations and futures not yet known.
