Filmed intermittently in Japan over ten years, "Fire Flower" is a radical adaptation of Yoko Hayasuke's "Journal of a Radioactive Brain," written after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster. Her first-person account of the catastrophe's micropolitical impact is woven with stories of survival and resistance from communities that seem already to inhabit a collapsed world.
