Almost a century ago, Manoel de Oliveira filmed "Douro, Faina Fluvial", portraying a city where the river was Porto’s port and labour shaped the rhythm of its images. Today, the Douro is no longer the city's port, and its urban symphonies have changed. Between documentary and fiction, "In Between Images" brings together cinematic perspectives on a city in constant transformation. From labour to popular culture, from streets to memories, cinema reveals the many cities within Porto, between what has disappeared and what is yet to come. This programme results from a partnership with Malha.
