"NOVA ’78" dives into the vibrant counterculture of the 1970s through unseen footage from the legendary Nova Convention. The three-day event in New York marked William S. Burroughs’s return to America, bringing together icons like Patti Smith, Frank Zappa, Laurie Anderson, Philip Glass, and Allen Ginsberg. Originally shot in 16mm by Howard Brookner and lost for decades, the recovered material inspired his cult film "Burroughs: The Movie". Co-directed by Rodrigo Areias, the film features music by The Legendary Tigerman.
