As part of the Porto/Post/Doc 2024 masterclass program, Lina Soualem shares her sensitive and intimate approach to documentary filmmaking. Renowned for exploring family memory, colonial histories, and personal narratives, she invites participants to reflect on storytelling, archival use, the interplay of the political and the personal, and creating cinema that blends research, ethics, and creativity. The masterclass will be moderated by Carlos Ruiz (professor and filmmaker).
