As part of the Porto/Post/Doc masterclass programme, Romanian filmmaker Andrei Ujică will be in conversation with film critic and researcher Alice Leroy, who teaches at Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée and contributes to publications such as Cahiers du Cinéma. The session will address work with archives, essayistic montage, and the relations between image, memory, and history, reflecting on how cinema questions power, time, and perception. Moderated by Leroy, the discussion offers tools to rethink methods and narratives in contemporary documentary filmmaking.
