During the hottest summer on record, humans and animals struggle to survive the fires consuming southern Galicia, one of Europe’s most vulnerable regions. Wild horses, which have roamed the mountains for centuries and help prevent fires by controlling vegetation, are disappearing as human expansion clashes with nature. Through the eyes of a young cattle breeder, a fire analyst, a veterinarian, and a farming family, the film reflects on the fragile balance between the natural world and the relationships that sustain it.
