Nyika Jancsó is the son of Márta Mészáros and Miklós Jancsó and has worked in cinema since the early 1970s – first as a cameraman, then as director of photography, becoming one of the most important technicians in Hungarian cinema. He has worked with numerous filmmakers, such as Pál Gábor, János Kovácsi, Pál Schiffer, Gyula Gazdag, Judd Ne'eman and Robert Sigl. Some of his most important films were made with his mother, Márta Mészáros, in particular Diary for My Children (1984), Diary for My Loves (1987), Diary for My Father and Mother (1990) and Foetus (1994). Nyika Jancsó will talk with professor and researcher Daniel Ribas (Escola das Artes da Universidade Católica do Porto) about his career and his relationship with his parents' films, being also one of the people responsible for the fidelity of the new digital copies that will be presented at the festival.
