For reasons that nobody knows, two sympathetic security guards have been placed in a quiet suburban neighbourhood in Lausanne, Switzerland, home to retired people and emigrants, in order to prevent access to the stream that runs through it. From this encounter with the people, the place, and the other, a friendship arises, disturbed by magical elements. An absurd fable - between documentary and fiction - which affectionately questions the mechanisms of the surveillance society that dominates our imagination.
Like an Island premiered at Visions du Réel where it received the Grand Prize of the International Competition.
