Argentinian Gastón Solnicki (from whom the festival screened Kékszakállú in 2016) has a fascination for Vienna, a timeless city that is, nevertheless, susceptible to change. The director, along with Portuguese cinematographer Rui Poças, captures the last moments when smoking is still allowed in public space, before the new tobacco law comes into force. This moment marks the end of a certain bohemianism that defined Viennese daily life and launches Ageliki, with the help of her friend and decorator Carmen, on an associative journey through the city in search of a house that meets all her requirements. A real estate comedy about the beauty of banality.
A Little Love Package premiered in the Encounters section of the Berlin Film Festival and won the prize for Best Director at the BAFICI.
