As in previous editions, throughout the week of the festival Rivoli's auditoriums welcome thousands of students in school sessions designed specifically for the various age groups (Mini and Teenage), in a joint promotion action between the festival, Porto City Hall and the educational institutions involved. In addition, the festival also promotes activities open to the public and aimed at the whole family, including of course movie screenings. Besides M/4 and M/6 sessions, programmed in partnership with Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, the festival also presents the session "Animanimals", with several films by Julia Ocker, and the audiovisual performance "Recortes de Família", by Orquestra de Famílias de Matosinhos and the artist Tânia Dinis. For these screenings, the festival promotes a Family Ticket, for two adults and two children, costing 5 euro.
