Five film fragments with no apparent relation to each other but linked in a sensorial portrait of the American devastating daily life. In Gray House, the story is told through the framing of the camera: from gloomy landscapes, architecture without people, from the frontal planes to the interviewees who stare at us without hope. Woven from the frontier between documentary and fiction (with the unexpected participation of an actor that some will recognize), the story of the film takes shape with the eye of who sees it. Gray House, the first feature film by Austin Lynch (co-directed with Matthew Booth), son of acclaimed director David Lynch, is grey in tone and texture, and its frames fit questions of identity, nature and human condition.
