Creating moments of intergenerational encounter is one of the great challenges of School Trip's family programme. Taking place at the weekend, in order to fit in with family schedules, the 2023 edition of Porto/Post/Doc is organising a major film screening for children, young people and their carers.
Taking place at Batalha Cinema Centre at 3pm on Sunday 19 November, it will include four short films of recent production. Stories about friendship, the transition to adolescence and the relationship between humans and animals are the main themes of this session.
At 4pm, Café do Batalha will be transformed into a lively dance floor. At this Hip Hop Party, everyone will sing and dance to the rhythm of Hip Hop, followed by a moment of image and sound improvisation with the Improvisa platform, developed by LABA Valencia School of Art, Design and New Media.

When a Rocket Stays on the Launch Pad
It's summer in the mountainous region of Liangshan. Fifteen-year-old Fang has just finished secondary school and is talking about his dreams. But life never stops, it moves too fast - like a basketball game. Meanwhile, the adults seem to be deciding his future. And the rocket continues to be launched every month.
Braids
Lili arrives at a new school and makes friends with Dado. As the class photo approaches, Lili braids her hair and Dado straightens it. It's an opportunity for them to discover something in each other that they don't have, even if it means jeopardising their friendship.

Far from his parents, Xiaohui lives with his grandfather in the mountains. When a calf is to be sold, the nine-year-old does everything in his power to prevent his mother and son from being separated.
