Short Training for Education Professionals

Short training session that invites participants to reflect on cinema as a pedagogical tool and on the role of artistic methodologies in contemporary education, taking the documentary “Museum” (2025) as its starting point. Participants will be encouraged to explore the school experience through two dimensions of time: chronological time (Chronos), which organises and limits, and transformative time (Kairos), which deepens and reinterprets learning.

The discussion will focus on the relationship between intentionality, regularity, and intensity as the foundation for a meaningful, interdisciplinary, and humanised pedagogy. It will address how cinema and the arts can operate as practices of thought, creation, and transformation, contributing to a school environment that fosters critical and creative thinking.

Accredited training aimed at teachers of all subject areas and cultural professionals interested in the intersection between art, cinema, and education. The session will be moderated by César Israel Paulo, visual artist, Visual Arts teacher, and member of the National Education Council, currently Deputy Director-General at the Directorate-General for School Administration. The training session will be conducted in Portuguese and is supported by the National Plan for the Arts (PNA).
