Porto Industry Days announces 28 selected projects for 2026

by Porto Industry Days /

Twelve projects in the Industry Screenings, eleven in the Co-Production Meetings and five in Arché Porto make up the selection for Porto/Post/Doc’s three professional activities.

Porto Industry Days announces the 28 projects selected for the Industry Screenings, Co-Production Meetings and Arché Porto. Between 23 and 26 November, as part of the 13th edition of Porto/Post/Doc: Film & Media Festival, creative and production teams will present their work and meet with international professionals.

The selection brings together projects from different countries and at distinct stages of their journey. The Industry Screenings are dedicated to films in editing or post-production; the Co-Production Meetings support projects in development or pre-production; and Arché Porto focuses on the writing and development of Ibero-American documentary projects.

Industry Screenings

The Industry Screenings have selected nine feature films and three short films at an advanced stage of editing or post-production. The projects will be presented in sessions reserved for industry professionals, through the screening of excerpts and conversations with the teams.

Festival programmers, sales agents, distributors and other professionals will be able to discover the films before completion. For directors and producers, the activity offers an opportunity to discuss strategies for completion, release, distribution and international circulation.

One-to-one meetings complement the sessions, offering space for more specific conversations about each film, its completion schedule and its presentation and distribution possibilities.

Co-Production Meetings

The Co-Production Meetings present eleven projects in development or pre-production, put forward by independent production companies from countries participating in the Creative Europe MEDIA programme.

At this stage, the teams are working to define the conditions needed to bring their films to fruition. The programme offers a space to present projects, discuss financing plans and identify partners who can contribute to production and the future circulation of the works.

The pitching sessions introduce each project’s cinematic proposal and needs. In the one-to-one meetings, teams can explore these questions further with potential co-producers, financiers, distributors and sales agents. Meetings are organised around the needs identified by the participants, seeking to create the conditions for concrete collaboration.

Arché Porto

Organised in partnership with Apordoc, Arché Porto has selected five Ibero-American documentary projects for its Writing and Development Lab.

The workshops focus on the writing, structure and cinematic approach of each project. Working with the participants makes it possible to deepen the proposals, discuss each author’s choices and address the questions that remain open at this stage of the process.

The lab combines this work with presentations and individual meetings with professionals. The teams will therefore have the opportunity to share their projects beyond the workshop context and to discuss possibilities for financing and co-production.
