Porto Industry Days 2026 launches Open Calls and strengthens its international industry platform

by Porto/Post/Doc / 19 05 2026

In 2026, Porto/Post/Doc further reinforces Porto Industry Days as its professional platform dedicated to the development, co-production, circulation and internationalisation of film and audiovisual projects. Taking place from 23 to 26 November, the programme will bring together filmmakers, producers, sales agents, festival programmers, distributors, platforms, funds and other international industry professionals for four days of screenings, meetings, project development and networking.

Based in Porto, the programme continues to establish itself as a concentrated-scale platform with an international ambition — designed not only to showcase projects, but to create meaningful conditions for their development, financing, completion and international circulation.

Structured to reflect different stages of the audiovisual value chain — from writing and development to co-production and post-production, from supported creation to critical reflection on emerging formats — Porto Industry Days welcomes projects of different genres, durations, scales and stages of development.

In 2026, the programme is organised around five main activities:
Industry Screenings — presentations of work-in-progress and rough cut projects to invited professionals, supporting premiere strategies, sales, distribution and international circulation;

  • Co-Production Meetings: a platform fostering new alliances between independent production companies, funds, distributors, platforms and international partners for projects in development or pre-production;
  • Arché Porto - Writing & Development Lab: a space dedicated to project development, critical discussion and creative support;
  • Working Class Heroes Grant: supporting the creation of a new cinematic work focused on Porto, its communities and social transformations;
  • Fabrico em Série: a programme dedicated to reflection, training and debate around the writing, creation and production of contemporary series.

Presentations, private screenings, masterclasses, labs, talks and one-to-one meetings form part of a programme designed to encourage meaningful professional connections and create opportunities for participants to engage with relevant partners for the advancement of their projects and careers.

Porto Industry Days supports projects at different stages and with different production structures. Creators without an associated production company may find opportunities within initiatives such as Arché Porto or, when applicable, the Industry Screenings. The Co-Production Meetings are aimed at projects submitted by eligible independent production companies.

Open Calls for the following Industry activities are open from 15 May to 15 July 2026:
• Industry Screenings
• Co-Production Meetings
• Arché Porto

The full programme, invited guests, accreditations and festival passes will be announced in the coming months.
