As part of the celebration of its 20th anniversary, Agência da Curta Metragem presents a "Carte Blanche to Portuguese Filmmakers", which will take place during several film festivals within a year, from north to south of the country, with special sessions of national cinematography of the 21st century. Porto/Post/Doc joins the program with the filmmakers Alice Eça Guimarães and Mónica Santos, who will present a carte blanche during the festival, between November 23 and December 1, 2019.
Carte Blanche to Filmmakers promoted by Agência da Curta Metragem will be a Portuguese cinema show made of an inverted process, thus people who think cinema in its origin - the creators - putting themselves in the role of the programmer. The host festivals are responsible for the nomination of the directors.
The celebration of the 20 years of the Agency will also include the publication of a book on Portuguese cinema in the XXI century, coordinated and edited by Daniel Ribas and Paulo Cunha, researchers and members of the Porto/Post/Doc selection committee.
