Three films that have been screened in that last edition of Porto/Post/Doc will be shown in the International Film Festival of Rotterdam, one of the most famous independent and experimental film festivals of the world.
The winner of the Vinhos Verdes Great Prize, "Meteors", by Gürcan Keltek, joins the section Bright Future 2018, exclusively dedicated to the work of emergent directors. Also from the program of Porto/Post/Doc 2017, there will be screened "Dragonfly Eyes", by Xu Bing, featured in the section Regained, that brings together films about archive, memory and films about films. The short documentary "Aldeia dos Rapazes", by Bárbara Virgínia, also features this section and will be screened before the film "Quem é Bárbara Virgínia?", by Luísa Sequeira, shown in Porto/Post/Doc within the program Cinema Falado.
International premiered in Porto/Post/Doc more than 40 years after the launch in Spain, "El Desencanto", by Jaime Chávarri, will also be screened in Rotterdam within the program A History of Shadows.
The International Film Festival of Rotterdam takes place from January 24 to February 4.
