Porto/Post/Doc and Apordoc promote the Arché Lab, a creative development lab aimed at directors, producers, and other film professionals with projects in different stages of development and production. Over the course of three days, a tutor will give feedback on the participants’ projects, before the projects are pitched to industry guests. The workshop aims to provide a space for deep reflection on film projects and their different stages of production and aim at providing projects in the writing and development stages with the necessary tools to explore the subject and reflect upon the strategies to implement in the film. On the other hand, they include viewing footage and/ or rough-cut versions in the case of projects in the editing stage.
In 2022 we invite the tutor Andrés Duque - andresduque.com - whose work is situated on the periphery of non-fiction with a strong essayistic inclination. His works have received numerous awards and recognitions at film festivals around the world (Punto de Vista, Cinéma du Réel, Dokufest, D'A, Unicorn Awards, Goya Awards). His films were also screened in cultural centres such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona, Museum of Modern Art in Vienna, Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow, Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, among others.
